N-Spheres: a Faux-Synth Masterpiece
Out of the blue, a friend of mine from university sent me a link to a Youtube video that he thought that I might like. Titled “N-Spheres”, the 31 minute video showcases a demo containing four original instrumental songs synced up with visuals. This project apparently took the creator, Jerobeam Fenderson & Hansi3D, six years to produce and it’s easy to see why; the attention to detail and high production quality is evident. What’s more, the entire video is generated in realtime by a computer program… and this program is small enough to fit on a floppy disc (< 1.44 MiB)!
While watching, I found the visuals would match up faithfully with how I imagined the sounds might look like in my head. Not only that but the music is pretty awesome too. The final track, especially, is a more traditional EDM tune. If you’re into electronic music I would recommend giving this a watch/listen. You can also check out the creator’s bandcamp page for more music here.
Thanks, Dylan, for the recommendation!
